Case study guidance

Guidance for submitting case studies

The annual EDI and Culture Conference is your opportunity to share work, ideas, and experiences that contribute to improving Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and fostering a positive culture within our community. Whether you are a student, apprentice, or staff member on any type of contract, we encourage you to submit a case study.

Your work might showcase achievements, share challenges, or explore ideas and solutions. By presenting, you can inspire others, share knowledge, and connect with like-minded people working towards the same goals.

What is a case study?

A case study is a brief description of a project, initiative, or activity related to EDI and Culture that you are involved in. This could include:

Case studies can highlight successes, identify challenges, and/or propose ideas for moving forward. Submissions are welcome whether your work is complete, in progress, or still in the planning stage.

How can I share my case study?

You can choose one of two ways to present your case study at the Conference:

1. Oral Presentation as Part of a Group Discussion

2. Digital Poster Presentation

Tips for writing your case study submission

Use straightforward language to describe your work and its relevance to EDI and Culture.

What are you trying to achieve? What challenges have you encountered? What impact has your work had so far (or what impact do you hope for)?

Whether your work is a large-scale project or a small, meaningful change, it has value and deserves to be shared.
